We are a friendly group of cyclists who enjoy a weekly ride in most weathers – with a café stop at
some point in the ride.

We welcome both electric bikes and normal bikes. Sometimes the hills can be a little challenging – it
goes with the territory – but no one is left behind. And there’s always the promise of coffee and cake
to spur us on!

Our half-day rides usually cover between 10 and 13 miles, while the full-day rides are from 17 to 22
miles

Local rides are usually centred on places such as Upholland, Parbold, Appley Bridge, Orrell,
Mawdesley and Latham, and take around three hours including the café stop. We also make full use
of the canal, with the added bonus that it’s pretty flat.

Our full-day rides, which usually take around five hours not including driving time, take us further
afield. Examples of full-day rides include: Preston Guild Wheel; Lydiate to Scarisbrick Marina;
Burscough to Southport, and Fleetwood Ferry to Blackpool

We have an annual week-long cycling holiday near Selby, Yorkshire, which allows time to cycle, shop,
chat and relax.We would love more members, so please come and join us. It’s the best exercise in the world
